Education Trends and Outlook
We have been working with several education institutes over the last few years, transforming their businesses and helping them prepare for the future. Based on our experience and some research, we are able to share how education and learning is changing the future of education and what businesses need to do to prepare for this.
We will focus on one such trend in this article (don’t forget to subscribe to read about the others).
Learning Experience
With the use of technology and internet, there is information everywhere and we are learning all the time. This behavior and access to information is changing the expectations of learners and will impact how education institutes will be expected to engage students.

Personalized
One of the biggest changes is how we learn. We see a lot of focus on personalized learning in the future. Personalized not just in terms of content but also pace. What works for one, may not work for others. Different people learn differently, and the expectation would be to suit their learning styles. We are working with customers who are looking to build personalized learning journeys (which is a concept more popular in online learning) for students in the classroom setup.
Teachers spend less than half the time in engaging students currently, the rest of the time is spent on Administration, preparation, evaluation etc. In order to focus on personalized learning, the biggest barrier around the world is “Not enough time”, which emphasizes on how increasing productivity will create more time for teachers to focus on what matters most.
Accessible
Accessibility is another important focus. With everyone spending a lot of time online, learning, sharing etc., the expectations are changing too, we want to learn anytime, anywhere at our convenience. This pushes us towards the concept of Hybrid or Blended learning where schools will focus on a mix of on campus and off campus experience for students. Classroom learning will become more about experience and collaboration, while part of the learning will happen before or after the class.

Engaging
Focus on more engaging and immersive learning content. Videos, Gamification and other forms of interactive content will become standard in the near future. Creating an interactive learning experience for students will be the key
